As a lifelong learner and creative problem-solver, I’m endlessly curious about people, cultures, and new skills. I love diving into instructional design tools, staying up to date with education trends, and taking courses that challenge and grow my expertise. Whether I’m painting, cooking up a new dish, or designing a digital worksheet, I approach everything with intention, creativity, and a love for learning.

I was born and raised in Minnesota, but I’ve spent over a decade living in different parts of the U.S. and abroad. Those experiences taught me how to adapt quickly, think on my feet, and approach challenges from multiple perspectives. (Yes—I once cooked a full Thanksgiving dinner in Vietnam without an oven!)

I hold a Master’s in Education from the University of North Texas and a second Master’s in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, and Education from Western Governors University. My approach to learning design is learner-centered and data-informed. When I worked in school-based instructional design, I made it a priority to understand students’ backgrounds, interests, and challenges to create content that truly connected and closed real knowledge gaps.

My creative side shows up in everything I do—from painting bold canvases to building engaging visuals in eLearning. I’m big on aesthetics and outcomes. Just like I wouldn’t serve a pretty cake that tastes bland or give a cozy-looking blanket that doesn’t keep you warm, I don’t believe in learning experiences that look good but don’t perform. I refine and iterate until the design both looks great and delivers meaningful results.
